This review is for apartment at 5551 23rd street in Long Beach.. My partner and I lived here for 18 months. Let me start off by saying at time of move in our rent was $1695 and so was our deposit.. we recieved $300 back of our deposit after moving out. Insane. Charged us $1,500 for painting costs… we honestly had like no artwork on the walls. Secondly, the apartment manager that “manages” the property does not manage anything. We had contacted her multiple times via text/phone call to no response for more than 5 days. The property managers treats the pool at the property like it’s their own personal backyard setting up a tent for barbeque and having pool completely blocked off for the day with screaming kids running around. The 2 laundry rooms on the property are gross and never cleaned. They called themself cleaning it when all they did was paint the walls white. The apartments here get so incredibly hot it’s insane, you will be running your AC all day if the sun is out at all (no exaggeration.) My partner and I had no parking spots, my partner asked to pay for a parking spot multiple times but they denied saying there was no spots… Yeah okay when we literally saw people move out that had a spot. They just want to keep the spot for a new tenant to lure them into renting here. Lastly, good luck taking your trash out to the dumpster, you’ll be greeted with 3-5 homeless people standing over the dumpster waiting for you so they can dig through your trash. This got so bad to the point where residents had to call the police because Vergara Properties was not doing anything. Save your money for a better property that actually cares about their tenants, and just so you know you will barely get your deposit back. Only thing this place had going for it that it was across from a Target.

Absolute nightmare experience. Slumlords of all slumlords. 1” of standing water in living room since the first time it rained in November. 3 months later still not fixed along with a. Laundry list of other items. All they want is your money.. dirt bag company, incompetent management. STAY AWAY
