Incompetent, unreliable, and unresponsive management. You have to fight with them in order to get them to do their jobs and fix mistakes they make. They will gaslight you and tell you incorrect and conflicting information that directly contradicts their previous emails, statements, and terms of the lease. Do not correspond with the representatives via phone as they will tell you one thing and then something different over email. I’ve had representatives blatantly lie and say one thing over the phone and then when called out on their lies, they will never respond. In one instance, I reached out to a representative 5 times via phone and email I order to fix our refrigerator that stopped working for the third time. She said she called me and left voicemails but when I showed her my cell phone statement showing no calls from her to my phone had ever been made, she stopped responding. Another time they incorrectly attempted to increase our rent despite the lease not ending which is illegal. When notified of this, they told me it was an accounting error; which is a very egregious error and points to their disorganization and disregard for their tenants.

I’ve had to ask for a supervisor multiple times before finally being granted their contact information. However, the supervisors that I have worked with are just as unethical and unprofessional as their employees. Supervisors take days to respond despite them providing a timeline for when they will respond to you. When they do eventually respond, it’s with incorrect information nor do they address any of the issues raised. Their responses seek to blame the renter for mistakes that their team makes and then they have the audacity to act like they’re doing you a favor when you insist that they correct their errors. I was a renter that always paid on time, had no complaints or violations against me, and was overall a great tenant. However, the way Mosser treated me made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable interacting with staff. It truly felt like each time I interacted with someone from the Mosser team, I had to go into battle in order to get help or have them correct a mistake (again mistakes made from their end…). It seems that the Mosser way is to deflect fault and place the blame and responsibility on the tenant to fix mistakes that arise from their own incompetence.

If you are looking at an apartment that is “managed” (term used loosely here) by Mosser, I implore you to look elsewhere to more reputable and reliable companies — companies who at the very minimum should be familiar with renter laws and their own leasing policies.

The Mosser Management Co is in the process of remodeling the property and they are doing a great job. There are previous tenants as well as new tenants in the building and everyone is very nice and polite. The management responds quickly to issues and seems to be proactive. The actual maintenance crew is friendly. Overall Mosser Management is a good company to lease from.

"I've lived at a Mosser property since December 2020, and I really love my studio. The Resident Manager of the building, Keaka, does a great job taking care of the property, and I always see him around making sure the common areas are looking good. I love his ownership. Just recently I had an issue with my refrigerator and the work order team addressed it right away. Adriana was helpful and accommodating with my schedule, and the maintenance team members Paris and Jose who came into my home were super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for taking care of my building and my apartment. I love living here."

I looked at Mosser properties when I lived in the Bay Area and their reputation preceded them; I’m lucky I dodged a bullet. They’re threatening to send tenants’ debts to collections in violation of a state COVID moratorium, and there are plenty of news articles about tenant strikes, bad landlord behavior, and more.

They are total scum and thief. I moved out paying two months rent and after 3 years they emailed saying I owe them rent. What a pathetic lie and somehow they send my info to collection. Terrible apartment and zero parking. Nightmare company to deal with.
