My name is Joshua Richey, I currently live in building 600 and I have been living with no AC or heat since October of last year I have put in numerous maintenance request and I have called numerous amount of times regarding this issue and no one seems to care. During the summer months I had to relocate my daughters because even with fans it was unbearable. They did give me a portable AC unit two months ago which only cooled down my room and the living room, three weeks ago someone came in and cut holes in the ceiling and in my laundry room and supposedly fixed my AC unit since then I still have no AC nor do I have heat and the holes have cockroaches spiders and other types of bugs falling through the holes they also took my portable AC unit away and said my AC is fixed but if he would have just tried to turn on the AC he would’ve known that it’s still not working before taking the only source of cool air that I did have now I’m back to a steaming hot apartment.

My AC unit leaks water all day long and I currently have mold growing throughout my apartment on all my belongings so I can’t even have my daughters here anymore the cabinets are infested with termites that they paint over so you won’t notice at first glance and I promise you your apartment would not look like the show room apartment. I have received no kind of compensation for everything that I have endured while living at 670 Thorton.

My previous apartment in the neighborhood had everybody’s shit from my building flowing in one of my tubs it was a known issue because on my date of move-in I was told I had to reschedule for the next day because they had a clean one of my tubs only to figure out a month later that it was shit that was coming out of the tub which kept happening about every other month so I had to lock the doors to that bathroom which only left me with one bathroom because that bathroom was connected to my daughter’s room and I didn’t want them to use it and shit started flowing out.

I dread posting reviews on businesses because as a sales person for 10 years I know how they can hurt a business but I’m left with no choice after almost a year of no change I’m currently waiting back from news outlet they said that they will have a rep call me back to discuss this and set up a time and day for them to come by I’ve also contacted viral Instagram pages to see if they could share the pictures and videos because that seems like that might be the only way to get their attention.

I would give zero stars if I could! The new property manager is the most rudest person ever. She isn’t helpful and very dismissive. My dude waited to speak with her with no acknowledgement . She just stays in her office. You will definitely lose residents if she is what people have to deal with. If she doesn’t like her job in customer service she needs to leave! She sucks! The old property manger was much better! She needs to shape up or ship out! I advise management to have a long conversation with her on her rudeness and poor customer service. We just want respect and basic kindness.

They want us to use this green pool meanwhile the pool in the front by the leasing office is tucked away like a souvenir for when they give tours. My parents’ unit is infested with roaches and little bugs called isopods crawls through the baseboards. They have only 2 maintenance guy for 500+ units. My question is what is going on in management that they can’t keep workers? Why is the turnover rate so high. This isn’t what my parents signed up for !

As of 1/23/25 STILL NO HEAT IN MY APT! This is the email they sent more than 24hrs after the heating company left for the 3rd in the past week. THEY BLOCK MY CALLS!! LOCK THE DOOR WHEN I TRY TO ENTER THE LEASING OFFICE. I have no space heater. They have not given me one because there are about 30 other tenants without heat who have been without heat since before Thanksgiving. I have a small child at home who has chronic asthma and requires breathing treatment every six hours who has to walk around in two layers of sweatpants hat, and gloves. The new leasing manager with the bald edges, took her small space heater that was given to me by her assistant manager because it was her personal space heater that she needed to keep warm while in the office even though the leasing office has a fireplace that’s always on. And they told me I could not sit in the leasing office with My Son to get warm. The email does not state what they plan on doing if anything, they don’t offer to put me in a hotel or buy a space heater. She simply only writing at nine something at night because I kept calling the heating company themselves because they were the only person to answer the phone since the leasing office has me on block

They have the worst maintenance department! You put in tickets for maintenance to do work and they take forever to come to your apartment to complete the job, they will tell you they comping back to do the job and don’t show up at all! The staff in the office puts work completed in the system to satisfy the computer requirements and I’m sure the head who’s running 67 Thornton but the work is not done or completed. You have to go into the system multiple times and make same request over and over again. My unit has had a plumbing problem for weeks in the back bathroom no maintenance has showed up to repair it. The vinyl blinds are cheap and break easily, and need replacing but again no maintenance! The valet trash company that was hired to gather trash does not come like they are supposed to and they make the neighborhood trashy because people become very lazy and just pile their trash in front of the door. It’s the worst company to hire to gather trash! I had to send a letter to the CEO complaining in the past and all they do is offer a AMEX giftcard for the inconvenience. They make your neighborhood ghetto. The condo also has roaches and they are aware and will still move you into a unit with roaches. How can you tell, because dead roaches were left in the kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets. The bathroom was molded and the shower head is broke, which I requested both shower heads to be replaced and they have not replace them! The property managers in the office I hate to mention names, will tell you maintenance is coming and they never show up or take months to get your high priority request. This is very unprofessional especially since rent is $2000 or more every month. Rent is 2 high for what they offer and I def don’t plan renewing my lease. Also the front gate is a joke, what is the purpose of charging residents $50 for a gate card and the gate is always broke or people can just follow you right in because the gate doesn’t close fast enough, that is not security. And lastly all homes were forced to get the smart system installed and my door has not be super secure ever since due to the door not closing properly. My AC system was down for weeks before they repaired it and it still doesn’t work in the master bedroom the maintenance said it’s because the RETURN isn’t close enough. When the Winter Vortex came it was 17 degrees in my house it was freezing, the maintenance said they would be at my house in 1 hour and never came until the following afternoon to repair my smart system because it was offline and I could not control AC from phone or manually. The AC has not worked properly since moving in. The master is always super cold or super hot there is no in between! And I’m the one paying the rent, why should I be forced to buy fans or space heaters to feel comfortable because the AC doesn’t work properly! Tired RENTER!

This place could be so much more. But unfortunately, management doesn’t value tenants. They value your rent check and how much more they can siphon off of you. Outrageous water and sewer bills that are higher than a 4 bedroom residence in Douglas County. Excess charges for key cards on gates that don’t even work 1/2 the time or more. Amenity fees for old junk fitness equipment and trash pick up that seldom happens. Maintenance never shows up or finishes a job at a level of satisfaction. No protection at the gate when people bully their way through without a key card or a buzz in. Not to mention the car break ins and vandalism. Management doesn’t do anything to protect the people that live in their community. Pot smokers, loud music from cars in the lots, car alarms, green pools, over flowing trash at dumpsters, filth in the breezeways, if you enjoy any of that…. You came to the right place. Don’t waste your time or money here. You aren’t valued.

My sister is currently living on this property and she currently has mold and they are trying to Sugarcoated it and they are not doing anything about it and they do not care staff or maintenance team do not know what they’re doing do not move here at all also very money hungry rent does not make sense for the amount of damages and roach infestation units they have . And I don’t even live her I was visiting for a month and seen all of this happen in front of my eyes this property needs help and if I was you do. Not move here unless you are desperate
